Design & Engineering

We have extensive tooling design capabilities for casting and forging. We work in close partnership with customer’s design – engineering team to develop optimal manufacturing process. We use our experience, expert knowledge, and the latest Siemens – Unigraphics NX CAD/CAM 3D modelling software to help us achieve innovative die and machining fixture designs which can be manufactured within the controlled parameters in-house. We conduct mould flow analysis for all casting and simulate forgings prior to manufacturing the actual dies.

Tool & Die

Designing die tool requires special skill and experience. Drafts, tapers, wall thickness, undercuts, solidification curve, shrinkage etc., are taken into consideration during design stage to achieve a sound casting and forging. With our vast experience we help our customer save considerable amount by maintaining tight casting and forging tolerance and reduce overall machining allowances. We provide development timeline to customer and monitor the development on a weekly basis resulting in a project which is completed on time, meeting the customer specifications. We also use the services of a set of high specialized tool makers, who are fully aware of our expectations on Quality of the Tool and Ontime Delivery needs.

Heat Treatment

Heat Treatment is a special process that is performed on Aluminum parts to achieve desired hardness, microstructure, and tensile strength. Heat treatment changes the properties of the alloy by subjecting the castings or forgings to a thermal cycle. Each Aluminum alloy grade has a different Heat Treatment temperatures and soaking times cycle. Heat treated parts have improved machineability and better thermal stability, thereby maintain tight tolerances during machining.
Gravity Die Casting All GDC castings are heat treated.
HPDC Casting No heat treatment is required.
Alu. Forging All aluminium forgings are heat treated

Heat Treatment condition suffix for BS1490 Aluminium Alloys:

M As cast
TS No heat treatment is required.
TB Solution heat treated and naturally aged to a substantially stable condition
TB7 Solution heat treated and stabilised
TE Artificially aged
TF Solution heat treated and artificially aged
TF7 Solution heat treated, artificially aged and stabilised

Shot Blasting

We are equipped to deliver the best aesthetic finish products the market has to offer. The aesthetic requirement of bicycle, motorcycle and automotive parts is extremely high as they are visible parts. We have invested in ultramodern shot blasting machine with variable frequency drives, which enables us to precisely control the shot throw velocity and volume. This results in achieving very high aesthetic finish on the castings and forgings, which exceeds our customer expectations.

CNC Machining

Cast & Alloys in constantly upgrading and investing in sophisticated CNC Machining facility. CNC Machines and latest technologies are sourced based on the customer quality, quantity, and finish requirements. We have set up customer product specific production lines for high volume parts. We help our customer meet their stringent quality and finish requirements with the shortest possible lead time and help meet their warehouse goals.
We constantly strive for manufacturing excellence through innovation and engineering changes that result in cost reduction per part for our customers. We procure product specific project cutting tools and work holding fixtures from sources that we have built strong relationship over the years. This enables us to derive the shortest machining cycle time for our customers enabling cost saving.

Our machines have the following features

Anodizing

Anodizing is an electro-chemical process that increase the thickness of the natural oxide layer on the surface of Aluminum resulting in a decorative, durable, corrosion resistant anodic oxide finish part. We offer Type II and Type III Anodizing adhering to MIL-A-8625 and ASTM B-580 Standards. We offer a range of anodized products for bicycle, motorcycle and automotive parts in natural, black, gold and blue colours. Our product outlives specified abrasion test and salt spray life.
