Management and employees at Cast & Alloys are committed to Quality. For us Quality is about exceeding customer expectations on the product we deliver. We take great pride in the parts we produce, and the relationships we have with our customers. We collaborate closely with our customers right from the development phase, which helps us to understand their needs on Quality, Quantity, Finish and Delivery. This information from the customer is effectively communicated through the Quality Management System employed and is always available to the development, production, and quality teams.
Our quality management system is accredited to ISO 9001 : 2015, IATF 16949 : 2016, VDA 6.3, ISO 14001 : 2015 and ISO 45001 : 2015. We constantly strive to employ the most effective Quality Management system recognized and practiced globally. It is for our strong quality commitment that we are preferred Aluminum Foundry and Forge shop. We welcome customers to visit our premises and audit our processes.

Regular participation in Quality and Quality Management System seminars online and in-house comprehensive staff training are key to our robust quality system. All members of our team are not only educated in the technical skills needed for the operations they perform, but also in the customer requirements of each part which they produce. This improves their understanding of the application, and the critical features of the parts they are producing. Quality Asset & Capabilities

We have complete foundry, forging and machining infrastructure that permits development of complex
parts holding tight tolerances, and parts that areaesthetically critical.
Spectromax – Germany

Spectrometer

All incoming lots of aluminum alloy ingots, forging billets and foundry melts are checked for alloy composition with Optical Emission Spectrometer from Spectromax Germany. Only conforming material or melts are accepted and permitted to be used for further production of castings and forgings.
Carl Zeiss Germany

CMM

Geometrical tolerances and cross references are checked using 3 Coordinate Measuring Machine – CMM. Carl Zeiss – Contura G2 having table size of 1000 x 700 x 600 with a range of probes including angular probe, are used for scanning and measuring.

Computerised Tensile Testing

The cast and forged parts are checked for Tensile using Computerized UTM which provides accurate Tensile and Elongation results. ASTM Standard specified test bars are used for inspection.

Digital Brinell Hardness Tester

Hardness Tester is used for precise Hardness Measurement of cast and forged components after heat treatment.
Mahr Surf - Germany

Contour Tracer

Contour Tracer precisely traces and measures intricate profiles, radius, tapers, chamfers, depth etc., within an accuracy of 0.0025mm.

Surface Roughness Tester

Critical surface finishes on machines surfaces are measured with Mahr Surface Finish Tester giving Ra, Rz, Ry, Rb finish levels.

Online SPC Gauging

Online air – electronic gauging with SPC software is used to precisely measure the part and capture data, defining accurately the Cp – CpK value of measurement. This production measurement system is used on shopfloor to measure parts that hold very tight tolerances and need 100% traceability.

Air Electronic Read Out System

All precisely machined bores, which are machined within a tolerance band under 0.010mm are measured with air plug gauge and air electronic gauging, having a measurement accuracy of 0.001mm. The readout system have tri colour indication, Green – OK, Red – Rejection and Yellow – Rework.

Salt Spray Test Chamber

PLC Controlled salt spray test chamber is used to check the salt spray life of anodized and power coated parts. This machine confirms to ASTM Standard.

Q – Gate (Quality Gate)

100% Visual Inspection is done at Q – Gate at the final packing stage, which ensures that every part despatched conforms to customer quality requirements. Customer Quality concern by means of Visual Aid is displayed on the Q-Gate. Inspectors are provided product specific training thus ensuring Zero defect parts from being shipped to the customer.
